Oh, I'm not mad. Watching one of my fave movies and playing my Kiesel Strat with wah.

Frownland 05-08-2018 12:25 PM

It was an actual question, I don't know who the celebrity is or why you posted her here except for that she asked for too much.

This sounds like you're trolling because it is actually other posts that have came across like that, thinking that because you managed to avoid it in the US, nobody else must have heard about it. I have a good knowledge of sport worldwide and the scale of that achievement. I am aware of how popular the league is and specifically where it is popular, so I can say it was a pretty big thing across Europe, Asia and Africa.

Trolls isn't British anyway. Typical American!

I think you're a soccer fanboy who has an inflated view of everything soccer because of course a fanboy would. Literally the only big soccer story I've seen in the US was when David Beckham moved to the country, and I doubt it would have been as big a story if he wasn't married to a Spice Girl. They became a couple who were basically famous for being famous, cause nobody cared what they were doing besides being famous.

Does that mean you're having three periods?

Chula Vista 05-08-2018 12:34 PM

I jacked off to her at least 3 times. Probably more.

Frownland 05-08-2018 12:35 PM

Who's blondie and what did she do? I'm open to letting Chula explain but it looks like he's too mad for that.

I haven't really said anything that could be seen as me having an inflated view of soccer tbh. The stuff like it being popular is reasonable.

Also Chapecoense's plane crash was a big story and that was recent, I don't believe you missed that one.

That was reported on more because of the crash than the sport.

It was still soccer related.

The sport was linked to the story anyway because of the circumstances.

Your inflated view of soccer is seen as your inflated view of soccer. And if you're gonna take over my thread with your footy talk then I'm glad I've got you calling it soccer.

I haven't seen anyone in this thread expressing the view that nobody else must have heard about it.

Cuthbert 05-08-2018 01:13 PM

I'm not one of those guys who get bent out of shape at the word 'soccer'. People think it's American so they get upset, but it isn't.

Just did a house-to-house check on every Irish household. Zero recognition. I rest my case. Mind you, a few did think I was talking about Ann Summers, but that's another story.

Ireland is the exception to the rule. Everywhere else everyone knows her.

Why are there pages upon pages talking about bitch ass soccer? I get we all hate soccer players but can you really call them celebrities?

It's footy. And the reason is that we wanted to make Batty cry.
And yes, some of them are definitely celebs: David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Pele, Ronaldo ...

Unless they're shooting themselves in the leg with their own guns then nobody cares.

You've never heard of Pele or David Beckham?

Vinnie Jones might be more known as an actor than for his football career.

George Weah might be known more as a politician at some point.

Does Gordon Ramsey count? Reckon he exaggerated his football credentials. Bradley Walsh, definitely known more as a TV presenter.

DwnWthVwls 05-09-2018 11:02 AM

I know Beckham by name. Couldnt tell tou his team, why hes famous etc. and does the other dude have a last name? Maybe i know him.

Yeah but you wouldn't know him by it, without Googling it I don't even know it. Edson Nascimento dos Santos or something. Most of the Brazilian players and many Latin Americans are the same, they have one word names, often just nicknames because their real names are very long and often the same. 'Hulk' is a good one.

Plankton 05-09-2018 12:00 PM

Pele? Yeah, I know who he is... mostly from this movie though.

It was like combining The Great Escape with The Longest Yard.
