Oh yeah. **** yeah. Especially me. Like Karen calls me every morning from anything between 5 and 8 am (I get up usually around 11:30. Shut up) to take the duvet off cos she's too warm. It's annoying, but nice to look at the clock and say "ah! Four more (or whatever number) hours left till I have to get up!"

Also add (when I was working) waking and thinking it's a work day and realising it's the weekend!

For me it's usually, "Ah, my day off, got to sleep in. Why's work been blowing up my phone?"

Little things

- music, sweet sweet music
- a great meal
- a fun movie
- a good read
- playing guitar
- my kids and Linda
- keeping in touch with the rest of the family and friends
- a nice long hot shower after not bathing for a few days
- getting wired internet back later this afternoon (fingers crossed)
- the amazing weather we get most of the time in San Diego
- making my bed first thing every morning to start the day on a positive note
- breaking the spell of being addicted to non-stop cable TV
- meeting all of the new neighbors here - such down to earth people so far
- the vast abundance of free porn out there
- and watching Trump burn down the world

Kids and wives aren't usually catalogued as "little things" but I dig that nihilistic vibe.

Thing is I don't live with them anymore so getting the occasional phone call or seeing them warms my heart and makes that particular day all worthwhile.
