I have thousands of dollars in high quality digital scans of U.S. currency, which predates security features [sans the micro-printing]. I plan on making and stockpiling some before the SHTF.

DwnWthVwls 06-21-2018 05:50 PM

I'm just trying to figure out what good money is if SHTF...

WWWP 06-21-2018 06:39 PM

That's why I'm 3-d printing canned goods

The Batlord 06-21-2018 06:42 PM

I'm 3D printing bottle caps cause that's not considered counterfeiting yet.

Frownland 06-21-2018 07:09 PM

I'm 3d printing licenses and I'm telling you all in case you'd like to get in on this exciting opportunity with someone like me who is totally not an agent, like at all.

[MERIT] 06-21-2018 07:28 PM

Why should banksters be the only ones who can print money at will?

Frownland 06-21-2018 08:23 PM

Because. Brb gonna kill my congressman.

If you program a 3-D printer to print 3-D printers you have

Universal Paperclips

Oriphiel 06-22-2018 04:30 AM

What if you program a 3-D printer that can print anything to print an impossible shape?

grindy 06-22-2018 04:31 AM

The shape of mom's to come?

Quote:

The paperclip maximizer is a thought experiment described by Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom in 2003. It illustrates the existential risk that an artificial general intelligence may pose to human beings when programmed to pursue even seemingly-harmless goals, and the necessity of incorporating machine ethics into artificial intelligence design. The scenario describes an advanced artificial intelligence tasked with manufacturing paperclips. If such a machine were not programmed to value human life, then given enough power its optimized goal would be to turn all matter in the universe, including human beings, into either paperclips or machines which manufacture paperclips.[4]
It’s a play on the idea that if a 3D printer was programmed to make 3D printers it could have potentially disastrous results.

There was a time when Sherri was a baby that we were ****ing poor and couldn't afford ****. Fortunately the place I was working at offered up tons of overtime because they were so back-logged.

Monday thru Friday I worked 8:00AM to 8:00PM. Then on Saturday I worked 8:00AM to 1:00PM. Twenty hours of overtime.

Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday I worked as a short order cook at this place, RIP. Best ****ing pork cutlet subs ever.

All tolled it was a 70-75 hour week for a couple of years. We did not want to do day care. Linda was able to stay at home and earn some extra bucks watching a few of our friend's kids.

You do what you gotta do.

I’d rather die than work that much. I’ve never met anyone who works that much, either. For how long did you maintain that kind of schedule?
