I need heaphone recommendations

I walk to and from work every day and I listen to music during that time exclusively. Lately I've been buying new ear buds evert couple months but I really just need a nice pair to have with me all the time so I have a good music experience daily.

Do any of you got any recommendations? I can deal with any price if the headphones are worth it. Remember that I'd like to keep them with me at all times. Anything too bulky would be a bit much but I could do it if they were the right ones.

Thanks guys.

I asked this same question (about Bluetooth ones) and got ignored. There is a thread in the Music Equipment section, you might get some ideas there. Depends I guess on how much you intend to/want to pay?

Not a bad idea. I'll check that out.

DwnWthVwls 06-22-2018 10:00 AM

I picked up the AKG K240s Exo suggested a while back. I use them at work everyday. The price to sound wuality ratio is pretty awesome. I think i got them on sale for like $50-60 a year ago.

Key 06-22-2018 10:11 AM

^Oh damn. Nice. I'll check it out

OccultHawk 06-22-2018 10:23 AM

Audio-Technica ATH-M50x

but I also like these really cheap gummy headphones FTW

they’re comfortable and sound fine to me

Glad somebody took that rec. Great budget cans.

Key 07-03-2018 06:08 PM

Tfw you get a good rec and are still using crappy headphones. I'm so lazy.

Thelonious Monkey 07-03-2018 06:13 PM

get some senheiser momentums, only like 80 quid but nice crisp sound, i dunno if u like to bang out tunes when ur going places don't buy them, although i find they work great for that anyway, but they're awesome for full album listening, i sorta miss my skullcandy grinds now tho cuz they were so **** but bangers sounded so good on them.

They look goofy sticking way off your head, but you need to get on it!

https://www.amazon.com/AKG-K240STUDI.../dp/B0001ARCFA - They're only $60!!

This is me greatly disappointed in you.

Does everybody on the forum have these damn things?

Chula Vista 07-03-2018 07:08 PM

I found the Philips Fidelio L2s are quite a cut about of the newer 240s. Plus slightly less bulky.

Keep in mind that I have a PC headset. A wireless one. I'm talking specifically music listening on the go. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll def check out the ones Exo recommended. Those are sweet.

Thelonious Monkey 07-03-2018 08:30 PM

don't get the ones dwv recced they look ridiculous when ur out and about, unless u don't care? then go for it, id go for something more subtle

Key 07-03-2018 08:33 PM

I was hoping for something a bit more subtle so i'll probably look a bit more. I don't mind it too much tho.

DwnWthVwls 07-03-2018 08:45 PM

Yeah, I wouldnt get them for on the go. I keep them at work.

Key 07-03-2018 08:46 PM

I appreciate the rec though for the future.

Neapolitan 07-04-2018 01:31 PM

I was thinking of going with CAD DH100 Drummer isolation headphones. Just cause they're not too expensive. They're only fifty bucks.

Me, you, The Hawk and Q-Man use them. Also I think Loathsome Pete.

They are superb.

Trollheart 07-04-2018 02:48 PM

I've started wearing on-ear ones. I may never go back. My ears don't sweat nor get too warm, and the phones are very comfortable. Mind you, I'm getting a new pair soon, but they will almost certainly be on-ear, not over-ear. I think I'm done with the latter.

I prefer on ear as well. I usually get the ones that have a curved arch so that it fits on my ear. Other ones always fall out and it's annoying

Trollheart 07-04-2018 03:11 PM

I had actually never tried on-ear before this. Always over-ear or earbuds. But I'm definitely sticking with this format now. The only problem is that I'm now into Bluetooth ones, and that can severely limit your choices.

The Batlord 07-04-2018 03:18 PM

I don't know why people like headphones they have to stick in their ear unless they're outside the house.

That doesn't even matter now. Time was when you could only go out with earbuds, now everyone's wearing anything from slim on-ears to massive DJ over-ears, and nobody cares. So there's no real reason for earbuds unless you just don't want it to be known that you're wearing headphones I guess.

Maybe they spend a really long time styling their hair and don't want to mess it up with headphones so go for IEMs.

I want people to know I'm listening to something because there less chance that they'll try to talk to me.
