Better than being a fat bastard.

So long, and thanks for all the fish

Note: Frownland knows this is in the past, so I'm sure he won't take any offence at what I said four years ago, when I was in a much worse place than I am now.

nah dude i think your outrage was totally warranted after he made fun of your disabled son like that

Trollheart 06-08-2022 05:09 AM

Sister, dude, and well you know it. Unless you're mixing me up with Chula, in which case hooray! I can play the guitar!

Yes, that Lord Larehip was a strange guy. He must've spent ages on those long definite threads of his, but unlike other journal writers, he didn't seem very welcoming when people interrupted his flow of posts with encouraging comments.

More than Lord Larehip's largely solo efforts, a mega-thread I enjoyed was the one from LadyIsLingering where she voiced her dislike of motherhood. Remember that one? It really touched a nerve and had every MB member firing off a pro-/anti- children post: the kind of rapid-fire long-running debate of a substantial issue that we don't see much of outside the political threads - or the ones about completely re-vamping MB.

Yeah that one really angered me. I mean, I have no time for children, but when she sneered at those who wanted to have them as being "breeders", something just went off inside me. There was a lot of heat in that discussion. The kind of drama I have to say I do not miss at all.

did he make fun of your sister, too? god damn, frownland really is a piece of ****, isn't he?

Trollheart 06-08-2022 12:17 PM

No he didn't - bait, bait, I know! I was just pointing out that I don't have a disabled son, but a disabled sister. And nobody, to their credit, has ever made fun of her. Well, Batty once, but we worked it out.
