You make me feel young again

Frownland 01-08-2019 07:23 PM

1. Easy day that wasn't slow.
2. Saw the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen tonight and our sunsets usually kick ass.
3. Had a coworker in stiches with my wryness.
4. Pretty sure that I'll get through this bout of brokeness without any overdraft fees.

2. Everything Is Terrible released a new video today.
3. More people from outside my immediate social networking circle shared and watched my trailer today...it's not exactly going viral or anything, but as we haven't even finished principal photography yet, it's just about getting any video clicks at all to make people aware of the project to any degree at this point.
4. The tuna melt panini I had for dinner was totes amazeballs

MicShazam 01-09-2019 03:40 PM

1) So much to do at work that the work day flew by in what felt like a couple hours.

2) Went to dinner and a movie with friends. Not a great movie, but it was still a good time overall.

3) Listened to some CDs on my stereo and enjoyed it big time. One of them was the new Neko Case album, which I got for christmas but didn't find time to listen to properly until today.

4) slept on my couch between work and going out with friends and I needed that so it felt good.

Frownland 02-21-2019 10:04 PM

1. Been in a good mood these past few days.
2. My terrible cough is going away.
3. Played some really rad fun **** on the guitar for 20ish minutes.
4. Going on a camping/fishing trip this weekend.

OccultHawk 02-28-2019 08:54 PM

1 Today is payday
2 I have at least $400 left in my account from last payday
3 Yesterday my friend gave me $400 of his tax returns because I let him borrow $200 and I bought him Smash Bros. when it came out and the rest he said was extra or sumn.
4 I get beer of the check and I get 7 cases of my choice for an anniversary. IDK if that's a good thing, but it's not a bad thing.

grindy 03-09-2019 12:51 AM

*** I think cleaning your crib helps keep depression at bay - like it can snowball in the wrong direction if you ignore it - but when you start to feel better capitalize on it and try to get positive patterns working in your noggin - when you’re depressed hard reading **** like that can piss you off because it feels like someone is saying see it’s simple - I don’t think it’s simple but everything you do affects your brain - every conversation, every pill, every everything - watching your personal space transform into something more agreeable to live in can’t hurt

ok

In moderation. Clutter can be nice. Gives a space personality rather than being bland. But cleaning it every now and again can feel like a new haircut. And then you're free to let it get cluttered in a whole new way that keeps your space dynamic.

OccultHawk 03-28-2019 07:38 PM

I moved the fridge and cleaned under it

It really needed to be done - trust me

and the drawers and cabinets needed cleaning and disinfecting- new lining

threw away some redundant **** - matched up the lids

next time I’m going to clean the oven

There is a distinction between tidy and clean though. I like my house to be cluttered but clean: I completely agree with what you say about clutter, but I also want to be able to walk around on bare feet without my soles getting sticky

To avoid that I wear slide sandals (or whatever they're called). I think one of the more comfortable ones are Okabashi sandals but they have a tendency to rip.

Frownland 03-30-2019 11:26 AM

No need to get ripped off by a "specialist", just use a garden hose.

That would be cool, a sandal made of recyclable material from a garden hose.

Theres a shop here that sells a variety of shoes, clothing, and home goods all made from recycled trash collected from our beaches.

Marie Monday 03-30-2019 12:29 PM

But bare feet > sandals

Probably no recycled garden hose items. I don't see much of a demand for a garden hoses at the beach.

I have a pick punch that makes guitar picks from old credit cards and plastic containers.

I definitely agree. I am barefoot whenever possible.

Too risky, between broken glass, Lego bricks and all of that.

Marie Monday 03-30-2019 12:49 PM

Your house and garden are covered in broken glass and lego bricks?

Studies have shown that people who make their beds in the morning are more likely to be successes in life.

The Batlord 05-01-2019 03:47 PM

Studies show that beds still function either way.

It's 44° and raining where you are, right? I figure you'd be disc golfing.

Maybe after work. I went out yesterday though. This course doesn't usually have any lakes or ponds. Been raining for days.

Does a disc golf course hire divers to recover sunken Frisbees???

They do this at gold courses. I nailed one once.

Frownland 05-02-2019 09:14 AM

Never been to a gold course, sounds like some bougie **** to me.

They do at some courses, like the Ledgestone Ins. Open at Sunset Hills, which is somewhat of a Gold Course.

Bougie, yes. We're building one right now to attract some pro's out this way. I'm in charge of design/building 3 foot bridges. I have zero experience design/building foot bridges, so this should go really smoothly.
