Nah, there are those positive thinkers who just annoy everyone and delude themselves when there's a real problem to solve.

Anyways

1. I saw the sun rise over the hills and it was beautiful.
2. The office will probably be pretty empty today so I can get a lot of work done without distraction. Or I could easily not get any work done and no one will notice.
3. My trains were on time.

Key 07-03-2018 08:57 AM

Great idea, Dad.

1) Woke up early enough to give me enough time to relax and smoke before work.
2) It's a sunny day and I an't complain about waking up to blue sky and sun.
3) Working with some of my favorite people today. It's gonna be a good time.
4) Just like Frown, not feeling sick, or in pain, or anything.

Have a good day everyone.

So many people refuse to get what fireworks do to some dogs. Our largest is traumatized badly. We've tried everything to help him but the subsonic booms still get to him.

So sad seeing him just standing with scared eyes, not knowing what to do, all while panting like crazy. He's gotten better the last few years, thank goodness.

Frownland 07-04-2018 09:35 PM

1. I drunk.
2. Illegal fireworks display is crazy where I'm at right now, someone went to Mexico for some crazy **** or something.
3. I'm 10 digits richer.
4. Got a couple of dollar bin records and the shop owner wrote them down because he said I always surprise him with what I find in there. Ego strokage.

Do you know about the thunder vests/jackets? I don't have any experiences with them, but lying down and giving the good dog a bear hug has been pretty successful with my panicky dogs, so it seems logical that they would work well.

Tried everything. Maybe it's because he's so damn big???

WWWP 07-04-2018 10:50 PM

My guy is all freaked out today too. The CBD treats help but he's a whining, quivering baby right now, he won't get off my lap.

Frownland 07-04-2018 11:11 PM

I got home about 30 minutes ago and Niko was freaked out. He's still pretty clingy.

Key 07-04-2018 11:35 PM

^My cat is not doing too well either. He's been in the same spot under my bed for the past few hours. I've given him some catnip and treats to sort of calm him down so he's not doing too bad now.

OccultHawk 07-05-2018 07:16 AM

I’m afraid if you love on your pet when they act scared you’re reinforcing their belief that there’s actually something to be afraid of.

Not sure - but my dog is a rescue and he’s chilled some.

Or...I might be totally wrong.

You're totally wrong.

Frownland 07-05-2018 08:10 AM

OH is right but it's a case by case thing. If your dog is nervous on a walk or around people, that kind of approach can make things worse than if you just try to normalize it. Bit hard to normalize getting used to fireworks though, especially when they're illegal (damn wildfires).

No idea about dogs but I know that my cat loves it when I try to comfort him when he's scared. Most times he just lets me pick him up and I hold him for a few minutes so he can calm down. Usually does the trick.

1. Found out there's a propane guy that drives through the park early every Wednesday morning. I just leave out this yellow placard and he stops and tops me off. First time I'll be sure to be up so we can arrange where I'll leave the check or cash. I don't even have to remove the tanks (I have two 7 gallon ones) from the RV. Convenience baby!

How're you set for propane accessories though?

MicShazam 07-05-2018 12:41 PM

1. Currently listening to some good music.
2. Having some nice food and drink.
3. Feeling relaxed and focused.
4. Solved a problem with a hobby computer game I'm making.

Huh? Wha?

Also just ordered a 1 gallon tank for my grill. Sick of blowing through those little Coleman ones. I'll keep one of those handy as a spare though.

I’d ask if wants to earn some more dealing with your waste water.

Propane, waste, and jacking up a Winnebago to change a tire all seem intimidating. Plus windshield wipers. I can’t wrap my mind around how to change the wiper blades. It’s like trying to go backward and forward at the same time.

Waste is so easy it's ridiculous. Propane is now so easy it's ridiculous. My rig is staying in one place so no flat tires here. My RV is a trailer. Changing the wipers on my Xterra is so easy it's ridiculous.

1. Wait until black water tank is full.
2. Take a long soapy shower and wash the dishes. Fills up the grey water tanks.
3. Flush black water tank. Close the valve.
4. Fill the john 4 times and let the water go crashing down into the tank.
5. Flush black tank again. Close the valve.
6. Flush grey water tanks, which cleans out the piping.
7. Fill the john and put in one of these.

8. Once fully dissolved flush the john.

Takes 15 minutes and I only have to do it maybe once every 10 days.

3. Playing tour guide in the bay tomorrow and surprising my mom for her birthday.
