4 Negative Things About Your Day

Gotta keep things in balance, since we have a '4 Positive Things' thread, this is the yang to that yin.

https://personaltao.com/wp-content/u...8/Yin-Yang.gif

1. A good friend of mine is ailing and I'm not sure how long he has.
2. Trying to catch up on a few bills after a large purchase always sucks.
3. I love my job, but I really wanna gtf outa here and play some disc golf.
4. I'm hangry, much like some of the adventures of Mindfulness.

DwnWthVwls 07-03-2018 09:10 AM

Definitely feeling #3 today. Skipping my lunch to leave at 230 instead of 330.

rubber soul 07-03-2018 09:25 AM

1. My Mom's dead
2. My Aunt's dead
3. I have a bad heart
4. Japan lost yesterday.

Frownland 07-03-2018 11:29 AM

1. I had to get up at 4:20 and not for the cool thing.
2. My dad is in the hospital.
3. I ****ed up a $1500 order at work.
4. A lot of people are wasting my time.

WWWP 07-03-2018 02:39 PM

1. Haven't written anything in a while and trying to get back in the habit is rough on my self esteem

2. My bf sucks at sharing the gaming pc and he only ever wants to play mtga and make me watch

3. Suicide is all around me lately, something about this time of year.

4. The underwire in my bra snapped in half right after i got to work this morning and I can't really afford new clothes rn

Key 07-03-2018 02:44 PM

1) I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for my lunch order and that is actuslly ridiculous for fast food.
2) work is obnoxiously busy today: "hi I need a notary" times 10 or "hi I need to fax this" times 10. Go home people!
3) feeling nauseous again like I was yesterday. Hopefully it's nothing.
4) my elbow won't stop itching.

Trollheart 07-03-2018 05:29 PM

1. Karen has a bedsore. Ow.
2. I'll get no birthday presents, like all years
3. Can't water the flowers (yes we have flowers now) because there's a hosepipe ban due to water shortages due to unseasonably hot weather
4. Missed the end of the England game thanks to my stupid recording cutting off right as extra time ran to an end. (saw it later but had to wait hours).

Chula Vista 07-03-2018 08:04 PM

I only have one. Waited around all ****ing day for a Fedex package that was "on truck, out for delivery" per an email I got around 8:30 this morning. It needs my signature.

Just now I get another email saying "delivery not attempted - exception. Will deliver tomorrow". Am I supposed to sit around all day tomorrow now too?

Gonna call and see if I can at least get a delivery time estimate.

What the hell does that mean? Couldn't be bothered?

Usually Fedex delivers with no signature needed, unless you pay extra for a delivery requiring a signature.

If they require a signature, they wont deliver it. That's how UPS does it at least.

Wow, so you just keep it until they pick it up?

That can often be requested by the seller, yes.

I assume back to the depot, held for a specific length of time, then returned to sender.

You're too high to understand basic English. Eat some Doritos cause you need carbs to think and read this very slowly: What I am saying is if you order something online that uses Fedex, you're the one requesting the signature for the delivery.

I give it a 90% chance Chula did this to himself.

UPS usually requires signatures in high crime areas. If you're in the burbs they just plop it on the porch. One thing I hate about UPS is that they won't wait around a second, cause their one second if precious to them but they think nothing of you wasting you whole day waiting for them, or think you can run all over hell's half acre driving to their center to pick up the package wasting your gas and your time to do a job they were paid to do which is deliver the package.

Key 07-04-2018 10:11 AM

Alright. I mean, it's not like I work for UPS or anything.

What did he do? Do we ban him now?

Read on from post #1642 of the World Cup thread.

https://www.musicbanter.com/sport-re...hread-165.html

It's been the banter thread all summer and last night it reached boiling point I'm afraid.

grindy 07-07-2018 05:39 AM

Oh. I usually skip the sports and video games threads.

Well: ****. Also: Not getting into that.

MicShazam 07-07-2018 05:48 AM

I just don't see the point in getting so personal if you don't actually want to hurt someone. It's amazing what mental gymnastics people will perform to justify their ****ty personalities. Not touching any more of that hot potato. My mellow will not be harshed today *shifts attention towards worthwhile things*

I think he had some money on Brazil last night.

I say we give Charles a week off to calm down.

I wrote Exo pretty much saying the same thing. I guess we'll see how serious the mods are about personal attacks now.

MicShazam 07-07-2018 06:10 AM

I think jokes are gray area. But then there's the preemptive refusal to apologize. That kind of makes it all worse. I'm touching the hot potato now. I said I wouldn't. Stopping it now!

The problem is that Frown was present and didn't ban him. If I'd ban him now that'd... *giggles* undermine Frown's credibility and... au... *bursts into laughter* ...thority (Let me finish!) as a mod. Heh.

Seriously though, Batty has written very similar things in the past and TH didn't seem to mind.
This one was different because it was so out of the blue and so unfunny not because it was necessarily harsher than usual.
If he had written something like this to someone with whom he has never interacted that way: Immediate ban.
In this case it's honestly a bit of a grey area.

rubber soul 07-07-2018 06:22 AM

I'm sorry, but you should never bring a family member into a conversation. I don't care if Batlord was pissed because he lost money or was drunk as a skunk. No one should make a comment like that to anyone, period!
