I think it would be pretty obvious that when corporate or government masters weren't involved that it would be much easier to feel like a human being in a job.

My job is pretty sweet. I learn a ton and get to see the work i do put to use by engineers and scientists working to clean up government superfund sites and keep the contamination contained. Thank the navy dumping jet fuel everywhere during ww2.

I'd love to do some environmentalist grunt work but that kind of volunteer **** seems to be all about school field trips where I am.

Wasn't saying you were, but I'm just saying I've looked up environmental volunteer work around where I live and it seems mainly about school field trip type **** or otherwise childrens' volunteer work. Can't an adult plant trees and pick up litter in a chain gang on his off time? It's not like there's no need for it.

Yes. You live on the coast plenty of opportunities for beach clean up volunteering and i just posted a treeplanting org that anyone can join in the watchdog thread. See if thee is any planting opportunities in you area. You can probably find great volunteer opportunities st your local college campuses as well.

You gotta be creative

Volunteerism has been purloined by the churches and schools

They feel threatened if you try to **** with their monopoly on good PR and they’re aggressive as **** about maintaining that control
