Sorry to hear this, Janszoon - wishing you a complete recovery and good luck with the testing.

Thanks. I’m happy to report that the test I took today came back negative.

I’m glad to hear you daughter sounds like she’s getting better but sorry she was so sick.

Wow, sorry to hear that, but glad you're ok now! Hope it wasn't too bad.

Thanks! It wasn't that bad for me. I felt awful for about a day, then somewhat crappy for several more. I've been very cautious with masking, handwashing and social distancing so I'm like 99% sure where I caught it, and I wasn't near those maskless assholes for very long so I think my viral load was probably fairly low. It sucked having to isolate from my wife, but the upside was I watched a ton of movies that had been on my watchlist for a while.

Losing the sense of smell or taste would frighten me. It’s so undeniably weird.

A more contagious version of the coronavirus may alter the course of the pandemic in the United States, researchers said.
That more contagious strain is here in the states. It’s already so impossibly contagious. Jesus.

Well it made cleaning the litter box a little more pleasant for me the other day so it has its upsides.

Keep up with hygiene for other's sake though.

Sorry to hear that, Jansz. Hope you're making a full recovery. Best to you and the wife. And the cats.

FYI, we're off to another lockdown. This one's for a month, "at least". Before that, I can just imagine the arseholes out celebrating tonight. Imagine what our numbers are going to look like in a month's time, and then everyone will be whining "you said only a month!" when the govt extends the lockdown. Jesus. Why can't people learn? Is it stupidity, stubbornness, ignorance or just bloody-mindedness? Or all three?
