Anytime somebody brings up other death stats to compare with Covid, I roll my eyes. As if something COMPLETELY UNRELATED somehow affects appropriate safety measures being put in place.

"Hey, no smoking in here. We're trying to cut down on second hand smoke."

DID YOU KNOW THERE IS A GENOCIDE IN THE CONGO!?

Absolutely. I've been an "essential" worker at a fast food joint ever since the epidemic hit, I've been worked to the bone for much of it since people on lockdown or just worried about going into a store flood fast food joints, and I haven't gotten a cent of hazard or bonus pay and the idea that we're operating safely is a joke.

And I know that all of this has nothing to do with any legitimate necessity, this country just doesn't give the slightest **** about me or my co-workers and our deaths will just be another statistic the government glances at before declaring that the economy is more important than our lives.
