How old are you? Do you have any underlying health issues?

I feel fine, but I suspect its only a matter of time at this point. We've had numerous deaths in the West Midlands and there's no way the official figures are accurate. People are not being tested so the official number of 1,400ish has got to be the tip of the iceberg.

They reckon it could go on until Spring 2021 with 8m Brits needing hospital treatment

I feel pretty much normal. Who knows? Maybe I had it and it stayed mild and I built a resistance. I am snotty like allergies though.

I’m 25 and have no other problems, though I’ve smoked weed pretty much daily for like 6 years

I guess my biggest fear is the long term problems that scientists are finding. I’ve seen on multiple occasions that doctors in China reported recovered patients seeing potentially permanent lung damage. They are out of breath after simply walking briskly. That is horrifying to me

Thought you were older than 25

That's a compliment BTW.

&

I've got asthma but it doesn't really affect me anymore, I'm not worried for my own health.

Why Telling People They Don’t Need Masks Backfired

To help manage the shortage, the authorities sent a message that made them untrustworthy...

many health experts, including the surgeon general of the United States, told the public simultaneously that masks weren’t necessary for protecting the general public and that health care workers needed the dwindling supply. This contradiction confuses an ordinary listener. How do these masks magically protect the wearers only and only if they work in a particular field?...

of course masks work — maybe not perfectly and not all to the same degree, but they provide some protection. Their use has always been advised as part of the standard response to being around infected people, especially for people who may be vulnerable.
