Screen size and plugins (# of USBs, aux, HDMI, etc) is probably the one you need to pay the most attention to depending on what you'll be using it for. Getting a computer with an i5 or higher processor will be good for speed (not too familiar with other CPUs).

A solid state drive (SSD) will have faster startup than a hard drive (HDD) and you'll want to get 256GB storage or higher. If you're getting something with HDD get 500gb storage or higher.

Some cheap computers come without a disk drive for CDs and such or number key area on the keyboard, so if those are important to you be sure to check for that.

There's my basic understanding. I would wait to see what Plank has to say if you want professional level advice though
