Every punk rock fan worth their salt worships The Fall.

Urban was the backbone of MB? Aside from the fact that he had shitload of posts, did anyone actually like that guy? He always seemed like a creepy weirdo to me, can't imagine why anyone would want to engage with him in private.

Although I am sorry to hear Right track has failed you somehow, he was one of my favorite members, and in my experience at least, had a lot of maturity and empathy.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

And anyway, it doesn't matter where it comes from really. It's antiquated nonsense that only causes harm, and that's what's important
conditioning is a vague term. Technically natural selection is conditioning. But typically that word seems to have a connotation that it's a arbitrary social convention that is not grounded in any sort of biology, imo. In which case no that wouldn't be appropriate here.

As for it only causes harm... That's true of some biological impulses. I'm not sure i see why that's true with regard to women being more selective sexually. Frankly I guess I don't see the harm there.

How dare you - everyone knows I'm only sexually attracted to furries between the ages of 19 and 21.

That's what he would assert, I believe, as would the collection of cronies that worshiped his brand of trolling. And anytime he was called out for something, many of the regulars would jump to his defense telling people they should learn to take a joke and such.

Right-Track was always good to me, and I otherwise have nothing negative to say about the man, but I did go to him specifically for help, and I know I'm not the only one who did so - yet he pretty much brushed me off as if I were making it up. Who knows what was going on for him personally at that time, I don't think this is indicative of his character at all - but yeah, I'm sorry too.

You're right that it is vague, so is biology though. Does that mean purely genetics, for example, to what extent are women genetically inclined to prefer tall men? Maybe I use the word conditioning weirdly, but I mean something like 'anything imposed by the outside world through a continuous creeping influence'.

that's true, there are some harmless aspects to gender conventions, but as a whole the concept sucks in every way

This isn’t an argument for any selective preference but I think it would be very helpful if everyone took some time to sit with the truth that there’s NOTHING beyond biology. Science, culture, nature, the universe, God - there’s nothing we perceive or even can perceive that isn’t a chemical reaction in our bodies. That’s what perception is. I get that we need language to talk beyond that isolating fact but I have a hard time with so many people seemingly being unaware of it at all. Not pointing fingers here.

But when we talk about the power of evolution we need to remember there’s nothing beyond that. It’s the entire story.

Didn't know that about Urban but it's not surprising tbh. What a ****bag.

Not really: one human year is equivalent to 3 furry years.

p.s. predilection toward being socially influenced is biological but the tenants of influence are indeed arbitrary given their anachronic nature that's really only held in place by the mirage of social norms.

Can we get back to wholesome relationship stories like adidasss's and Plankton's tho
