Oh well. I'm glad we've settled this peacefully, I wasn't quite sure where this conversation was gonna go.

No worries. I learned from my last time here not to take things so personally. :)

I mean I listened to Rush Limbaugh in high school so my house is pure glass.

I made an epic homage to your bald chicks thread years back that focused on forearms.

Queen Boo 01-31-2022 08:31 PM

Ok that's pretty funny.

Ricky Gervais’ Netflix Special Draws Criticism for Graphic Jokes Mocking Trans People

Love this comment:

Quote:

Ricky Gervais doing a set on trans folks.
How daring. How novel. How heroic!

Comedy that really makes you think!
Made me think of a man called Barry who sits in a pub in Hyde sipping a John Smiths all day, reading the Mail, making similar gags and complaining about immigrants.

Marie Monday 05-24-2022 12:08 PM

Yes I had a look at the article and that comment is accurate. The quotes in the article are certainly transphobic, and of the level of a dim-witted childish bigot

wait you're that boo boo person?

I've heard about you but i can't remember what. Did you have a massive meltdown or something like that?

Plankton 05-24-2022 02:03 PM

She's the reason I joined. I heard a mod here was on a ban frenzy, so I came over and registered to see how long I'd last after carefully spamming my music.

jwb 05-24-2022 02:15 PM

From a lowly spammer to a retired crooked mod. You've certainly come a long way.

Plankton 05-25-2022 04:32 AM

It's been one hell of a journey.

Jada Pinkett Smith hopes Will Smith and Chris Rock will ‘reconcile’ after Oscars slap

Am I wrong in saying that this woman has in no way, shape or form condemned her husband's act of violence?

The Batlord 06-02-2022 06:28 AM

Who cares? If it wasn't on tv it wouldn't be in any way notable but pop culture has to magnify every dumb thing to mine for content.

adidasss 06-02-2022 09:00 AM

But it was on tv. And played and replayed to billions of people. And it happened in a very public space in front of hundreds of people in a very formal setting where no violence was ever expected so even if it wasn't on tv it would have been reported. They are public people of whom a certain type of decorum is expected. Also they can influence others. Etc. So, plenty of things about it were notable. And that bitch ain't acknowledging it was all about her. And it was wrong. Which means she tacitly condones her husband's actions.

Exo 06-02-2022 09:06 AM

Jada just wants to be relevant again now that the Depp/Heard bullsh*t is over.

You gonna start claiming Columbine happened cause of video games too, you pearl clutcher? I find the "decorum" of live television to be phony and insipid and in desperate need of a slap to the face anyway.

Frownland 06-02-2022 12:03 PM

Adidasss probably would've found this if he wasn't foaming at the mouth for any opportunity to disparage black people

jwb 06-02-2022 01:45 PM

I don't even think adi watches gay porn he just jerks off to gawker articles

SGR 06-02-2022 01:52 PM

If someone gets slapped at the Oscars every year, I'll definitely start watching.

music_collector 06-06-2022 08:54 PM

I can't believe people still watch the Oscars.

rubber soul 06-07-2022 06:41 AM

I almost watched the Oscars as there was nothing else to do but I was tired. I started kicking myself the next day.

Washington Post suspends political reporter for 'sexist' retweet which said 'Every girl is bi, you just have to figure out if it's polar or sexual'

music_collector 06-08-2022 09:11 PM

I thought of one thing after the Oscar incident, and the person attacking Dave Chappelle on stage.

Why can't people take a joke anymore? Are we that uptight? In good taste or not, it's still just a joke. Why can't people just change the channel in the odd chance they're offended?

I watched Ricky Gervais on Netflix yesterday. It had lots of funny bits in it. I heard nothing controversial.

I've been to numerous comedy shows. I don't care if I'm made fun of. I'm usually trying to keep myself off of the floor from laughing so hard.

Frownland 06-08-2022 09:19 PM

Why can't people take criticism anymore? Are we that sensitive? In good taste or not, it's just criticism. Why can't people just pay attention to the leagues of fans still supporting them in the odd chance that they're criticized?

jwb 06-08-2022 10:48 PM

When we gonna talk about black on black crime at the Oscars?
