I've no idea, to be honest. I'm sure he has his pockets of followers there. On a side note, there's a story on the CBC about two Montreal ER doctors moving to Toronto because of 96. It's only the beginning of the exodus, I think. You might have a little more room to maneuver downtown.

Yeah that's very worrying. Mom, whose French is okay but not too great, isn't getting any younger, and the American gf needs some psychiatric prescriptions. I'm sure it will be bleak but how bleak? I can see a situation where Portland would be the less bad opinion at least for a while.

I wish I could say it will get better before it gets worse. Since nobody else in the country will oppose Legault, his crew will keep on drumming up pet projects like 96.

I'd invite you to Ottawa, but we're not any better. We're officially known as the city that fun forgot. We also have a train so horrible, that saying the word train is an insult to the word. I'm seeing the Tea Party next week at Bluesfest, so I guess it's not all bad.

If I can make a suggestion for the medical stuff, you could try going to Cornwall. It's just down the 401 from you. Your level of service should be as good. You could drive there in just over 45 minutes on a good day.
