Ah, the coil pack. Get a replacement mounting bolt. Call AutoZone or whatever parts store you have near you. They should have something in stock.

Obviously I defer to the Dad-In-Chief, Plankton, but I don't think you need worry about a spark plug shaking loose. Put it in tight with a spanner and it'll usually stay put. As for the plastic sleeve (or in your case, a metal cylinder?) at the end of the elec cable, if that does pop off the spark plug for some reason, (i) you should know it immediately by the sound of the engine not firing regularly and (ii) it won't do any damage; just push it back into place, but harder.

That's what I'd do on the kind of old car I'm familiar with, but I've never looked under the hood of a KIA, so follow P's advice about that fancy bolt that's sheared off.

DIC... thats a nice monogram. lol I kid I kid.

I remember driving around on 4 cylinders in a 6 banger for a while when I was a lot younger and didn't care. Sure it won't mess much up right away, but it causes fuel deposits and sludge in the motor. Acceleration loss as well.

Then you have the MDS on the newer Hemi's. I turned that off when I remembered to.

I don't fing know what to do with this bastard, I know I got the right parts and put them in the right places the right way but I can't even get the toaster looking pos to start so I'm giving up on it - it's not even my car!

Seems ultimately that the problem is that kias suck and why would you buy one

If we had a subway, or a reasonably built light rail system, I'd use it. I have to drive 200km to use a subway.
