Saw 'Crash' the other night. Brilliant film.

Loved the way the film dealt with prejudice and the scene where the young girl gets 'shot'...unforgettable.
Easily the best movie I've seen in ages.

Laces Out Dan! 03-27-2006 11:05 PM

I just watched American History X...

Easily one of the best movies i've ever seen

MURDER JUNKIE 03-27-2006 11:32 PM

I think American History X was almost a glorification of skinhead culture, it would seem that the ending was almost a formality. Overall I would say Crash is the better depiction of racial issues, genius film and it was really great to see Matt Dillon in a decent role again

American History X is a very dangerous film

Laces Out Dan! 03-27-2006 11:33 PM

Best i check it out??

MURDER JUNKIE 03-27-2006 11:35 PM

it should be required viewing for everyone, great cause and effect film making

It also helps that it takes place post 9/11

Laces Out Dan! 03-27-2006 11:37 PM

Hmm...im now intrigued to see it...i just read the plot summary..and i love when matt dillon actually plays an inteligent roll

MURDER JUNKIE 03-27-2006 11:41 PM

I agree, he is very underrated as an actor

Have you seen Drugstore Cowboy??

Laces Out Dan! 03-27-2006 11:42 PM

No i havent.....good?

MURDER JUNKIE 03-27-2006 11:42 PM

Great!!

Laces Out Dan! 03-27-2006 11:44 PM

Man as *** as it sounds...The Outsiders is still one of the best books ive read...and the movie i also liked quiet a bit..as much corn as it packed..it jumpstarted a lot of careers

MURDER JUNKIE 03-27-2006 11:46 PM

I love The Outsiders, that film was VERY powerful when it first came out

You MUST watch those 2 movies this week, you now have your assignment

Laces Out Dan! 03-27-2006 11:48 PM

Tough as nails those Outsiders were....with names like PonyBoy..how could you not just frighten the shi.t out of everyone

Laces Out Dan! 03-27-2006 11:48 PM

And yes ill try and watch those movies this week

jibber 03-28-2006 12:19 AM

I absolutely love the movie Lord of War. everyone must go see this movie now.

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 12:59 AM

I saw it, it was excellent. Nick Cage was a real slimeball, this is why I liked it, almost as slimy as Face/Off

adidasss 03-28-2006 01:29 AM

i avoid anything that has nicolas cage in it trying to be serious....

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 01:31 AM

What's wrong with Nick??

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 01:40 AM

Leaving Las Vegas sucked??

jibber 03-28-2006 01:40 AM

no, this was an outstanding movie, i was very very impressed. and what the hell?! nicholas cage is awesome. Matchstick Men? a classic!

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 01:42 AM

Matchstick Men was pretty great too. Face/Off is great, Conair and The Rock we won't speak of though

Raising Arizona is awesome as well

jibber 03-28-2006 01:47 AM

haven't seen raising arizona, what's that one about?

(ps. adidasss, get you're croatian a** on msn!)

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 01:48 AM

He's a thief trying to support a family, hilarious

face off?!?! jesus man....leaving las vegas was allright i guess, although i really really hated his character....and i really don't see much difference between conair and the rock and face off....really retarded action movies....( they switch faces??? oh ,the originality of the title is simply astounding )
and matchstick men was allright...but as far as ridely scott movies are concerned, it's pretty weak...

And that doesn't stand for Men Standing Naked

jibber 03-28-2006 01:53 AM

haha, no, no it doesnt. adidasss is like my therapist, so he needs to get his a** on msn. raising arizona sounds good, almost like a continuation of what matchstick men would be if the girl actually had been his real daughter.

I am a big John Woo fan so this film gets extra cred for being his first english speaking feature film. The imagery of the bad guy and the gun play was exceptional

sure, the action sequences were decent, as expected from woo, but c'mon man....THEY SWITCH FACES FOR GODS SAKE!!

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 01:56 AM

In Asian Cinema this is a perfectly acceptable storyline. It also gave Travolta and Cage a chance to mimic each other, Cage excelled at this Travolta notsomuch

i heard his little indiana jones impression ( the national treasure if i'm not mistaken?) was abismal....face it man, his choice of films is just awful...

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 02:01 AM

I have not witnessed this abomination, however it is common Hollywood knowledge that you do the money picture then you do a couple of arty films then repeat.

MURDER JUNKIE 03-28-2006 02:09 AM

I watched The Dukes Of Hazzard last week

i kinda liked it actually, apart from the cheesy motivational speech he gave at the end, i thought it was a decent film, not his best work, but still a good watch....the character of the masked king was especially impressive, almost mythical.....

ArtistInTheAmbulance 03-28-2006 10:14 AM

Its pretty much his worst of his that Ive seen. I loved him for G.I Jane and Gladiator and Alien and all that shimazz, but this?! I didnt get to the end. I didnt even get half way through, I dont think.. Apparently I only managed about half an hour, despite the fact that it felt like Id been sat there for two.

holdyoualways 03-30-2006 12:29 PM

so i just saw corpse bride last night
it was actually the first tim burton ive ever seen
& despite the fact that there was too many cheesy songs in it for my taste
i liked it
:)

ILIVEMUSIC 03-30-2006 12:32 PM

LEON is one of fav films, dunno why i just really like it
