Johnny Depp brings the best out in every movie he has been in, bar a few. Pirates of the Caribbean? Nothing without Depp. Same with Edward Scissorhands. Can you imagine that being done with anyone else? It really shows how fantastic his acting abilities are when he can make a film good. Look at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That should have been a terrible remake but Depp brought his usual dark and twisted self out and made it good to watch. Name a performance he has made that was below average.

If he was overrated then where's the Academy Award? The best award he's ever received is a stupid Golden Globe.
