Detective noir in verse, it's an incredible page turner, I read through it twice in one day - although it's very short so that's less impressive. The ending was frustrating....

And am following it with a more traditional form of the genre,

About 50 pages into 99 francs by Frédéric Beigbeder. I'm sure I picked up on it from someone's post in this thread. First French novel ever for me. I've hardly read any French whatsoever since I was a kid, aside from occasional emails and such. I really should have a dictionary with me when I read this, as there are a good number of words I'm unfamiliar with, but many I can figure out from context and others I'm remembering the meaning of as I read. Overall I'm reading it faster than I thought I would, it's a relatively easy read. Plus I get to learn some of the lingo of my field in French, which is always helpful.

A film adaptation was released few years ago, which looks pretty awesome:

I found an old copy of Captain Underpants, I had completly forgotten about it. I also found the Hypnotize ring it came with. Ah good times.
But on a serious note The Blind Side-Michael Lewis
After watching the movie I thought i'd see the book is.

Yeah I saw that on Amazon, but Netflix (online movie rental) doesn't have it...I'll have to check out a local independent film shop. Based on what I've read so far I'd like to see it.

It's incredibly disturbing and takes forever to get going but it's definitely a very good book.

That's what I've heard. It does seems kind of slow; 70 pages in and no rape, torture, or murder yet!
