The Brothers Karamazov - Fyodor Dostoevsky

I'm about halfway through, and while it is interesting, I can't really wrap my head around Russian culture, so I get lost sometimes. I won't deny that it's great though.

It's been awhile since I've read a book with such a anti religious/republican slant... good times, plus the scientist writer is very attractive.

Anyone have any suggestions for a ****ens read? I've managed to avoid him through my schooling and I hear not so great things. I was going to shoot in with Tale of Two Cities but I was hoping to grab some public opinion.

Nicholas Nickleby's my fav. It's not as sappy as some of the others and it was before all his books became polemics.
