It's not at all bad - especially if you finish it.

But if you like it (like a lot) then you need to read the big Dostoevsky novels if you haven't already. The Brothers Karamazov especially.

I'm pretty sure I have several of his eBooks if not physical books. Our thrift stores somehow have massive collections of classics

Yeah, thrift stores are gold mines for paperback classics. I've bought lots of moldy-smelling classics from thrift stores (definitely haven't read them all). Also you get that exquisite out of date cover art like this:
