Cool. My Left Foot is easily one of my favorite films. I'd consider it Daniel Day Lewis's best performance.

Daniel Day Lewis is one of my favourite actors and this film exemplifies why. His ability to get inside the mindset of his character is so uncanny. I heard that, to prepare for the role, he spent 6 months prior to filming living in a wheelchair among cerebral palsy patients. Now that's dedication.
In the Name of the Father and My Beautiful Laundrette are also amazing films which see him at his best.

It's written by Elie Wiesel. That's one of my favorite books.

the holocaust was a scary time. i get the chills whenever i hear about it.
