Thanks Satch! I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm only about halfway. Half Asleep was hard for me to get through too, but I enjoyed Fierce Invalids, so I'm persevering through his work. Like Eric asked, what is your top Robbins rec?

Highly looking forward to starting this, as I've heard nothing but greatness about it.

The most depressing novel I've read, containing characters both cripplingly depressing and undeniably relatable. It's left me with mixed, but strong feelings. Enjoy.

Dammit. I'm all about deeply moving stories, but "cripplingly depressing"? Guess I've got no choice but to dive in now.

For me, it's a toss up between Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and Jitterbug Perfume. I'd probably recommend the later. I also thought Fierce Invalids... was quite good.

Don't listen to them! Milan Kundera is amazing and The Unbearable Lightness of Being is a perfect existential love story to go along with the fall weather we've been having. It's easily one of my favorite novels.

Just about to start Tales of Heresy, book 10 in the Horus Heresy series (nerdy sci-fi junk, for those not into that kind of junk). I also picked up books eleven through sixteen today, so I'm set until the next one comes out next month. Hoorayyyy.

Busy Monsters by William Giraldi
Funny, dark, quirky, snotty. Good stuff thus far.

Nileism - The Strange course of The Blue Nile

Great music created by seemingly complex characters - sadly not talking to each other now

You do realize this is a thread about books and not music, right?
