How did you like this one? Just curious. When I read it I actually found the Worlds Fair part of the story to be much more interesting than the serial killer part.

Currently reading the second Hunger Games book, Catching Fire. Kinda over this teenage love triangle crap. I hate reading books like this because I find myself wishing someone had taken the really creative plot and developed it for adults. But oh well.

I didn't finish it :( I was really bored

I think the love triangle is overplayed in the book

I was exposed to the Johanna Mason/Katniss ship and I'm never looking back. Plus I also ****ing hated Gale.

I think this is more accurate tho

i broke down and read the Hunger Game books a while ago.....and i have to say for the most part i wish i could have that time back.....but there are some great ideas in there and the final half of the 3rd book was pretty fun

for some reason i'm on a King kick

i'm about a 3rd into this one and already it's 2 billion times better than the Stand

perhaps mr King should stick to good horror story telling rather than attempting to re-write the fucking bible

Frownland 12-07-2013 12:16 PM

It is King's best work, IMO. It's the only one that I'm willing to reread.

I never finished it cause the copy I was reading was missing like fifty pages in the middle or something, but it was definitely fantastic. I've reread Salem's Lot though. Probably the only legitimately scary/or at least creepy vampire book I've ever read other than Dracula, though of course King flubbed the ending as he usually does.

really?....i had heard that the Divergent books were pretty good actually

Sansa Stark 12-11-2013 09:02 AM

No they are shiiiite, so contrived and they ended horribly

The Gemma Doyle trilogy is really good though if you're looking for good YA. But anything with Magical Lesbians is great.

bob. 12-11-2013 09:15 AM

Magical Lesbians does not sound very Dystopian to me
