I don't quite get what everybody seems to be so excited about. Those short stories, while pretty well written, remind me of my teenage attempts to channel Kafka. Much less sucky than that, the guy has talent, but ultimately not very satisfying.

I always make a point of reading some classic horror at this time of year. Last year, it was The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Currently, it's Dracula, which is (so far) hands down one of the best books I've ever read.

That's the only one of his that I've read, but yes it is really great. Take what he says with a shakerful of salt though.
