I was under the impression he hated it a little while ago.

Took a bit to get use to the way the story bounces around but I'm really digging it. Read somewhere that it starts getting a little more cohesive with chapter two.

And for the record I've already read both Watchmen and V for Vendetta.

THEFT: A History of Music created by a dynamic duo of witty copyright law professors from Duke University. Available for purchase on Amazon in physical form or as a high-res PDF free via Creative Commons licensing here.

The graphic novel explores the history of copyright and music theft from Plato to the present.

Ooh, wonderful, thank you; I'm going to read that later tonight I think! I'm assuming you've (innerspaceboy) read all of it?

It's such a sprawling, kaleidoscopic series that there's bound to be parts that any given person would love. (What's your favorite comic series in general, though, out of curiosity?) Parts of it are rather frothy and whimsical whereas other parts are the complete opposite.

I've always wanted to dress as either Death or Delirium if I ever get around to going to a comic convention.

This is only my fourth and they've each been so different from each other. Let me get a few more under my belt.

It's a fairly new release, and I'm just diving in. The book was seven years in the making and just came out in the past few weeks as a follow-up to the greatest law-comic ever published: Bound By Law (Tales From the Public Domain). It was due out years ago, but the untimely and tragic death of illustrator Keith Aoki delayed it, until now.

It's quite a beast - the book traces millennia of musical history over the course of 252 pages. I'm 1/4 of the way through it presently, and it's great stuff.

Oh, I see; I really must get a physical copy, in that case.

That other one looks fascinating too.

Of course; for science. Hrmmmm well I do in fact own at least a couple outfits that Death would wear! (Including, of course, pointy goth boots, my leather jacket and my dead grandmother's giant ankh necklace)

So you've read Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and now Sandman. What's the fourth? And next time you're looking for #5, I'll rec you Hawkeye. If you don't know if you can deal with mainstream superhero comics, but you still think the Avengers movies are cool, then Hawkeye is pretty much perfect. An Avenger not really doing Avengery things with a tongue-in-cheek, down-to-earth storyline and some of the most likeable characters you'll ever find. It's hilarious, it's touching, it's ridiculous, it's real, and the art is phenomenal. And Kate Bishop is like the best thing ever. This was possibly the single comic that dragged me into being a more serious comic fan, and it's still one of the best series I've ever read.

Walking Dead. I'll look into Hawkeye but I was thinking about The Dark Knight Returns.
