Ever read On the Beach? Another classic post-apocalyptic novel. I had a terrible time reading the last chapter because of all of the tears streaming down my face. One of only a handful of novels to do that to me.
We talked about it before but seriously one of the most engaging powerful and even if not entirely on point scientifically based on what we know now about meteorology it’s still a crucially important read.

Spoiler for Spoiler:
When he wife freaks out and calls him insane because he provides cyanide tablets for her and their kids was probably the longest cry a book ever gave me. ****ing bone chilling

And also The Road. Goddamn. Talk about a book that will bring you head to head with human nature and mortality. And Childhood’s End...****ing jaw dropping.

Don’t **** up and watch the movies first people.

I remember now. About your Spoiler, same for me. The last couple of chapters had me gutted deep.

My favorite thing about that particular short story is that it inspired a character on One Piece.

I’ve been reading a lot lately and I’m out of anything interesting to read, does anyone have any recommendations? I don’t like any horror/thriller stuff.

Frownland 10-25-2018 04:10 PM

What're you into?

FETCHER. 10-25-2018 04:13 PM

I have been really enjoying fantasy lately but I’m not fussy :).
