I'd suggest Miracleman just to melt your mind at what a comic book can be.
Spoiler for big ass pic:

I’ll start off with that then :D

Oh damn I might be able to get TWO people into Miracleman in the same week. I've been flying this flag for years now but nobody has paid attention.

Anyone who likes historical fiction should give this a try:
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....1JigRMeG7L.jpg Set in medieval Japan and with one of the most unexpected twist endings in any mystery/suspense novel, this is one of my favorites. I haven't really been reading much lately apart from comics, but once I get in the mood I'm probably going to restart reading Black Arrow which is another Akitada novel. |

Speaking of pseudo-historical fiction, I'd like to recommend The Witch of Blackbird Pond.

It's the Artifact Edition. It doesn't have the whole series but reproduces select original, black and white artwork from scans. True nerd ****. There isn't an actual omnibus unfortunately.

I'm reading a suitable boy by vikram seth. It's like an indian war and peace in terms of scope. It has a lot of warmth and humour, and insight in and compassion for its characters, I really recommend it!

I also read through this: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....1Z63p8e79L.jpg Two novels, one binding. ****ing indescribably bizarre. I'm not even sure I'd call them Cyberpunk. They're just sort of their own thang. Any other cool retro sci-fi recs would be appreciated. |
