That's true, and also about what it means to be family, and an analysis of an episode of India's history of course, and so many other things. In terms of themes it's also similar to War and Peace actually

i think i'm reading out of the recommended order, but i grabbed this from a thrift store over the weekend and am continuing the shadow saga

Finally getting around to reading this after having seen the films a million times. I like how the novel doesn't romanticize the Corleones the way the first film does.

^ That is one of my favorite novels of all time. So gorgeous.

If you’re only 50-100 pages in I suggest keeping a character list. I remember that book had over 50 characters.
