After thinking about it for over a week, I decided that the reading schedule I had planned has to change and I am going to read this next. Bought the hardcover today. Already read it once years ago but that was years ago. |

Normal People by Sally Rooney Because a) everyone was talking about it and I wanted to see what the fuss was about but more importantly b) I wanted to see who the hell dares to put this 29 year old upstart as a blurb on Ben Lerner's latest, seeing as how he is one of the most revered contemporary American authors (and probably my favorite living author). So I was ready to hate it but about 40% in and I have to say I get why it's so popular, it's not exactly original but it is easy to read and very emotionally engaging. Nothing to do with Ben Lerner though. |
I liked it too, it resonated with me
