After thinking about it for over a week, I decided that the reading schedule I had planned has to change and I am going to read this next. Bought the hardcover today. Already read it once years ago but that was years ago.

Normal People by Sally Rooney

Because a) everyone was talking about it and I wanted to see what the fuss was about but more importantly b) I wanted to see who the hell dares to put this 29 year old upstart as a blurb on Ben Lerner's latest, seeing as how he is one of the most revered contemporary American authors (and probably my favorite living author).

So I was ready to hate it but about 40% in and I have to say I get why it's so popular, it's not exactly original but it is easy to read and very emotionally engaging.

Nothing to do with Ben Lerner though.
