the plot of star wars comes from hero with a thousand faces, which is just a structuralist breakdown of the monomyth. so by saying something has the same plot as star wars you're really saying it has the same plot as pretty much every epic, ever.

Lol, there is barely anything original in Star Wars: A New Hope, Lucas ripped off and 'payed homage' to so many sources. Indeed, it is ridiculous to say something is the same as Star Wars.

Which Eragon does, the clicheness of the entire series is so noticable that it's hard to read the books without falling asleep.

Ok, but the character's have exact analogues in Star Wars. Every aspect of the story is copied from Star Wars and apparently Hero With a Thousand Faces.

Gunslinger is my worst.

Before reading the series I knew a little bit about the first few books and I honestly thought I wouldnt enjoy book 2, mainly with it being our world and him in people's minds. However, I really enjoyed it the first time and it got the series going full swing, which the first book failed to do.

Well they were all amazing, it was just the least amazing, followed by The Gunslinger. For the record, what other King books do you like?

Not read a huge deal.

It
Needful Things
Shining
Shawshank
Green Mile
The Bachman Books

Not sure about any others, very familiar with the content of most of his others.
