I'm glad I came through with my promise of waiting till I saw the movie to read this. While it is one of the more faithful adaptations I would have thought less of the movie if I already knew that the differences were ahead of time. This will require a few more readings to fully understand and appreciate the symbolism and other themes but overall it was quite an enjoyable read.
