that r crumb version would make a great present for someone I know.. but I'm sure a manga take on the bible would be just as.. entertaining.

Depends on how much you like the person. I've found it on half.com and it's average running price is around 40 bucks.

I started reading this a couple months ago. I don't know why but it's taking me forever to get through it. I'm normally a pretty fast reader and thought I'd be done with it by now. I love every page though.

Perhaps, but the generous amount of sex scenes make up for the significant lack of monsters.

I'm finally close to wrapping up Chuck Palahniuk's Choke. I haven't had as much reading time with this one as others since summer that I was finishing on an almost weekly basis. I remember watching the movie when it first came out on DVD and being pretty disappointed. But I thought I'd give the book a chance anyway. I think initially I wasn't that into it, especially when the visuals from the movie started coming back to me. I'd really forgotten all about it by the time I started reading this. But as it's wrapping up, I think I really enjoyed it as a whole. Definitely much better than the movie, which could have been done so much better. There are so many truths and good quotes in here, at least to me. I don't consider myself well-read though, and I'm quite the introvert, so take that for what it's worth.
