Yeah, definitely. I also tend to take jobs below my skill level, have similar sentiments towards spending extended periods of time with people in a social setting, and have tried to figure out whether or not I have a problem with gambling.

This book is actually a collection of his journal entries from his later years - the last entry is about a year before his death, and it's really sad to read, really. I do enjoy his poetry and fiction, actually prefer it, but this was an interesting read nonetheless.

A lot of people make Bukowski out to be a complete ******* and a monster, but he was really just human and coping with things in his own way. When reading his stuff, that shines through.
