I know what you mean, I had the same issue with Attack on Titan. Every episode seems built on nothing more than a lead up to the next one to keep people watching, which is in no way a bad thing, but with how blatent and overused it is the whole structure of the story becomes very jagged and grueling.

Keep watching it, it gets way better as it goes on. They throw a lot at you at first but it get absolutely bat**** insane about a 1/3 into the series. You will be like i need to finish this haha

As for what I'm watching, im a few eps into Sword Art Online and I'm intrigued by it's premise but not sure if it's worth the investment. The show seems like a lot of filler so far no actual story. I'm limited to Netflix for anime so I'm just shuffling around through what they have.

I've never actually seen the anime, but I love the manga. It might more sense to read it than to watch it, since it is an exposition heavy series.

Finished the original Full Metal Alchemist.

The entire season I was anticipating a disappointing ending. That was not the case, I thought it was pretty cool.I like the dreary atmosphere of the show. There were some glaring plot holes. For the most part I thought the show kept the zany hyper humor that is consistant with so many anime's to a minimal in favor of some more mature themes which was great.

Going to watch the movie and call it a wrap. I don't know if I have a more light hearded, comedic version of this show-that being brotherhood- in me right now. I can only stomach so much anime before the recycled emotions(why are anime people surprised every time any person says anything?), character arcs, melodrama just gets too grating.

It's really not worth it IMO.

I'm about to start Ping Pong, which I've been hearing plenty of great things about, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Yeah thats what i figured im a decent way into it now. 10 episode's in and its still somewhat keeping my interest but it never really seems to be going anywhere haha.

Anybody have any good recommendations for the anime on Netflix?

Oh and Sparky its been a few years since I watched FMA so i cant really remember much about the movie my bad. You should watch Soul Eater, if you like FMA you will dig it.

Last time I checked netflix for anime over here there was only about 10 titles, the only one I liked was "The girl who leapt through time", what ones do you have over there?

They have a decent sized library now, they have some of the classic stuff like Trigun(which if any of you haven't seen I highly recommend!) As well as other popular ones like Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist etc. among others. They also recently added an exclusive to Netflix anime "Knights of Sidonia" which was really good and is getting another season this fall.

There is also bunch of series on here that I've never seen.I put a few of them on my list: D Grey Man, Fate Zero, Eden of The East and Blue Exorcist

I watched Eden of the East a good while ago, can't remember much from it but it was pretty decent. There's countless free anime streaming sites out there so I don't really bother with netflix, if you can find them you might like Kara No Kyokai or Ergo Proxy.
