is This is england similar to Green Street Hooligans? I haven't seen either just one scene from Green Street

Stranger than Fiction is worth taking a look at. I went into it thinking that I wouldn't like it and came out surprised by the time the credits rolled. Will Ferrell actually pulled it off a decent "truman show" performance

This Is England is far superior. It is a rites of passage mvie and is quite tender in places. There is only one real violent act in it and because of this you experience the horror of violence because it's realistic.

point taken. I was just thinking since Lee grew up in England in the 80s the movie would pack more potency than if I see it, but your totally right.

Powerhouse flick.
YES! very negative film that went really badly when it came out, so they changed the name from 'ace in the hole' to 'the big carnival'. fascinating.

You're probably right about that, people who have had similar experiences will view it differently, but I think if you remember your childhood you'll enjoy this one very much. Meadows has an incredible understanding of kids...

Wasn't really a recommendation YSHKMMWYHTC.

I saw The Golden Compass yesterday, and it was pretty good, imo. You should see it, it's interesting, worth seeing. I also saw Lean On Me with Morgan Freeman on Saturday or Sunday, and that was really good, Morgan Freeman is good, if you like him, so that's another worth seeing.

Lean On Me. Wow it's been well over ten years since I saw that. Is it still a good film. Although cliched, I remember liking it.

Oh my god, I want to see that so badly! I LOVED Omega Man and I LOVE Will Smith so it's probably going to be the perfect combination.

I have to recommend to everyone to see Juno. It's very good, although frankly they go off a bit too much on how "different" Juno is and there is an overabundance of Moldy Peaches' songs, but aside from that it's very, very entertaining.
Jason Bateman's in it too, even though they didn't have him in the previews.
