I have watched this movie more times than I'd like to admit. It comes on at weird hours and my tv just happens to be on the channel when it's showing and I don't change it.

Nolan's first movie, (i think). He used the eliptical time movement he would later on master in many of his movies. it was made for $6,000 in a span of one year. a very clever movie and it clearly was a signal of the kind of filmmaker Nolan was to become.

last movie I watched was Daft Punk's Electroma... it was interesting, to say the least. ha ha ha. the end made me feel sad :c

before that, was Paprika. one of the best movies I've ever seen, that's animated and not Disney/Pixar. I don't watch movies too often.

I just saw Forbidden Zone from 1982.

Bloody hells! Why haven't I seen this before? It was BRILLIANT! It's like a mix between The Residents, 1930s/40s musicals, Squirrel Nut Zippers, old Betty Boop cartoons, just a hint of Terry Gilliam and lots of tits and old fashioned insanity. It was completely surreal, funny and all the musical bits were great. It's been a long time since I laughed this much when watching a movie.

Warmly recommended

I thought it was great. It definitely had that Spielberg feel to it, without it being a rip off or copycat. It does stand on it's own. The train crash in the beginning is terrific, I haven't seen a plane, train, or car crash like that in a long time. The ending could've been better, but a lot of movies have been like that in recent memory. I Am Legend is one that was terrific for 2/3 of the movie then it meh.

Election (1999)

I think I had this confused with Rushmore for a while for some reason. I finally got around to it, and I'm really glad I did. Hilarious stuff.

Out of all of the kids, I loved the special effects kid. He was like a mini Micheal Bay and they casted the right kid because he's blond just like him and I could see Micheal Bay being like that as a kid.

I really love Election and I haven't seen it in awhile. One of the best dark comedies ever made imo.

Pretty ok as a standalone movie. But to a comics fan, this is a massive disappointment. It is not faithful to the comics at all, besides the "origin" story. All the other elements are changed, "Parallax", the origin of Hector Hammond, and the basis of the green and yellow energy. And you don't even get to see Sinestro use the yellow ring. They shoulda used Black Hand or Major Disaster as the secondary villain.

Laddaland

Thai horror movie. As a horror film, it fails completely, all cheap shocks and no real scares. But the family melodrama is quite good. The plot is also done well.

oh someone told you about it huh? Yeah, I always stick around to see the production accountant on the movie that I watch and while I was waiting for it.

They showed the movie that they were making and it came together pretty well. Also at the end up of that short film of theirs you finally find out what Super 8 means.
