What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

Starting from today and on each subsequent Sunday I am revisiting each part of the LOTR trilogy in their extended forms. So rewatched this today and it is still immensely entertaining.

Being English and over 30 it is kind of hard to have NOT read the books. Those and 'the Chronicles Of Narnia' too. No wonder the Harry Potter series seem's so mundane to me.

I'm a huge LOTR fan, but only of the films because I haven't read the books! I've only read 'The Hobbit.' I'd love to read the books eventually but I'm an English teacher and have wayy too much to read on a regular basis!

I also love the Narnia series... I read them as a kid. jack hammer you're right about the Harry Potter series being so mundane compared to these.

Have you ever seen the film 'Shadowlands' about C.S.Lewis's relationship with Joy Gresham whilst he was writing The Narnias series? A great film set within a great literary accomplishment. Ignore the useless soporific voiceover.

I've also only read The Hobbit. I can't get into the books - too much detail. The movies were also too long for me, but I watched them when I was still in middle school so maybe I should check them out again.

The last movie I watched was "Burn After Reading," which I thought was hilarious and not a waste of my time at all.
