It's not atrocious as it has entertainment value, some okay acting (although Heather Langenkamp is disappointingly wooden here and there) and the story is clever .. But yeah, no rush. There are better horrors out there. I think this one will be most satisfactory if you've seen some or all the other sequels first. It very much feels like a film for the fans!

Finally .. I saw Crazy Heart today. Jeff Bridges plays Bad Blake, a touring old country singer with a long life and not much to show for it. Maggie Gyllenhaal plays a love interest and Colin Farrel briefly appears as Blake's padawan from old whose success far surpasses that of his mentor.

Jeff Bridges got an Oscar for his role in this one and he is absolutely brilliant. I've always been a bit of a fan of Bridges and think his finest moments are in dramas where he brings a lot of warmth and emotion to the characters he play (examples: Fisher King, K-Pax). He does a brilliant job here as well and he's also pretty darn convincing as an old country musician as well. He's got a good voice!

Maggie Gyllenhaal was also perfect for the role. All in all, it was brilliant stuff and I felt quite sentimental when I came out of the cinema. Go watch it

This change has been going on across the sequels, but this film takes a bigger stride towards comedy than it's predecessors. I'm glad to see you enjoyed all the Nightmare movies you just watched. Have you seen Freddy vs. Jason? It's not all that good but still worth watching for completeness sake.

And to complete the Kevin Spacey trilogy for the week:

While it may not be the most entertaining film every made, the themes it presents is the most awe-inspiring thing I have ever felt during a movie...

Yes, that one I have seen and when I saw number 6, I realized I had seen parts of that before as well when it's run on some TV channel. I saw Freddy vs. Jason the year it came out in 2003, but I can't remember too much from it now. There was a pier or something, corn field, teenagers .. that's about it.

I thought about watching it again for completeness, but I'm so far undecided. The fact I can't remember much tells me it was forgettable, but I don't remember it as particularly bad either, so maybe.

The boy in the striped pyjamas is now one of my favourite films, seen it a few years ago, then picked it up in asda the other night, its amazing and very very good yet sad.

horrid compared to other american pies. i hate when they change original cast, and put ****ey cousins and such in them.

i feel so sorry for Eugene Levy, and how he's been so reduced to appearing in all of the horrible sequels. they really want to run this movie series to the ground.

My first time seeing this and I loved it. If there's such thing as a slapstick tragedy then this is it. Brilliantly-told story and pretty much the definitive film of two halves.

I watched this movie at school last week.
We read Night by Elie Weisel, then watched this.
Very sad movie.
But, it was a real tank!

He can say no to acting in them can't he? They really should've stopped at Band Camp. (That was shit, but they tried replacing the cast and it didn't work.)
