Ridiculous. All the Fast & Furious movies have ludicrous stunts in them, which is to be expected, but the amount of completely ridiculous scenarios in this movie was actually a little bit insulting. It was so insane I couldn't even appreciate what should have been an awesome, explosive, car chasing, action packed, mindless good time. Just terrible.

The first movie on my Sunday Funday Alfred Hitchcock marathon. Absolutely loved it. Hitchcock is a genius. They just don't make mysteries like this anymore. Only one question still nags at me though...what was in the secret letter Mark wrote to Margot?

^Awesome. Second only to Rear Window for Hitchcock IMO.

I've been on a Sidney Lumet kick, since he passed. This is has to be up there, when it comes to directorial debuts.

Great documentary on the first great Jewish baseball player. Makes me think what would have had happened him and other players that missed out on years of their career because of WWII.

awww why can't you have a little fun with some of that stuff? I guess you just don't like the series overall.

As someone that likes the series , I went into it thinking well I'm in for some fast cars, ass and titties and I was shocked and appalled when it actually had a deeper plot and they decided to dig into the characters history a little bit to show you some of their past and how it relates to how they are today.

I have yet to watch that but I'd like to one day. What other Hitchcock movies did you watch in this marathon?

It sucked, sure, but:

a) not nearly as badly as the cinematic holocaust known as Highlander 2
b) a lot of the action scenes were well-choreographed and actually pretty good
c) it features some of the most hilarious overacting I've ever seen from a certain Bruce Payne

Dunno if I'm in a minority here or not, but I love this film. It's just moronic fun of the highest order.

Hmmm...really? I didn't see them bringing out that much "history" in this movie. And I actually did somewhat enjoy the rest of the series for what it was...mindless action. This one was just so far above preposterous that I couldn't even enjoy it. I mean, the whole sequence at the beginning with Paul Walker's car and the bus...really? I mean, REALLY?

I also watched "The Lady Vanishes" (good, but not as good as "Dial M for Murder"), and then the first half of "The Man Who Knew Too Much", which I couldn't get into. I was streaming it on Netflix though and the quality was just terrible.

Loved it. Certainly has much loftier ambitions to it the film Bruce Robinson wrote and directed just before this (the mighty Withnail & I). A superb film virtually from top to bottom, even if the film arrives at its climax via a rather stupid, inconsistent little scene.

Pretty good, I guess. Very interesting premise, but there's a very peculiar style to the cinematography which I found often distracts from the actual story at hand. The ending was probably a bit of a cop-out too.
