Not the greatest movie in the world but it probably is Paul W.S. Anderson's greatest work... which is kind of sad when you think about it cause the film is now 14-years old. Also the video game Dead Space completely ripped off the premise and a lot of the items, like the magnetic boots.

i like this a lot - perhaps the only notable sci-fi horror besides Alien

Actually I kind of liked the special effects, especially seeing the little water droplets in zero gravity, that was awesome. And yes, that video was easily the creepiest part of the film. It was a decent film, not the greatest, but certainly not the worst.

and The Thing, and Scanners, and Pitch Black, and Screamers, and The Fly, and Dark City, and maybe even Children of Men.

Schindler's List

Seems like this film either gets a lot of hype or a lot of hate, and given that I'm not usually a huge fan of World War II-themed movies (it's just such a saturated genre), I didn't know what to expect going in. I think I'm firmly in the fan camp now. There were some truly moving moments and it gives an exceptionally traumatizing look at the German invasion of Poland and the ensuing death camps. Plus, Ray Fiennes was really good.

Extremely dated 70's conspiracy thriller ,but decent on account of the direction and Beatty's performance nonetheless.

Well played, sir.

But seriously, definitely one of the most original films I've seen in the last 10 years. Not just visually stunning, but a fantastic story and structure behind it. Very excited to see what he does next...:)

Ridiculously ragged around the edges but this low budget British coming of age film has it's fair share of poignant moments and was worthy of a second viewing.

Heh... it made me laugh and grossed me out in a few scenes. Great '80's cult classic.
