And Rutger Hauer was bloody brilliant for the part!
just to add a sidenote - i love "The Plague"

if there were a movie just about them, it'd get a solid 10/10 from me

Conan the Barbarian
I hadn't seen this in forever, I was home from work sick, and it was available streaming on Netflix so I watched it. Not bad. Not great either, but it has its moments.

Cannibal Terror, but I found it bad and boring.

Excellent. This brilliantly-shot feature-length documentary follows Ayrton Senna's career from his first season in Formula 1 in 1984, to his 3 world titles, and up until his tragic death at Imola in 1994. There's an intimate feel to this as you get great glimpses of his personality and his great passion for racing. There's some brilliant in-car footage and behind-the-scenes footage that give you a feel of what the sport is really like. Even if you're not a fan of F1 or motor-racing in general this is well-worth watching just to see one man's passion for the sport he loves and the sport that would eventually kill him.

The Fall

It started off really slow, and it was quite boring in the beginning, but it kept my attention and in the end I thought it was actually pretty good. The irritating part was the little Romanian girl, because I could barely understand her

It is one of those films that begs to be good but doesn't really deliver

My 12 year old son and I have been bonding over movies a lot recently and we have a movie night around 3 - 4 times a week so these have been introduced to him recently:

He liked the effects and originality but hated the musical interludes. I don't blame him either and I am a Bowie fan.

Apart from the usual barrage of questions in the first half hour from him (which is to be expected), he loved this and asked to watch this again soon tonight! For a 12 year old to sit through a 2 and a half hour film and get the general purpose of the film makes me very proud.

Change of pace tonight. He has always been intrigued by my phone text alert ( excellent accompanied by the guitar lick) and wanted to know why I have a Bill and Ted T shirt. He loved this and cracked up everytime they spoke in unison. He also loved Socrates being called So - crates throughout the film.

I really enjoyed it, in spite of the fact that I found it horribly predictable. I feel like that's probably because I watched a movie (which shall remain nameless; I don't want to sound like I'm recommending the other movie) with a similar twist about a week ago.

It's the Machinist. I had to take her link and put look it up to finally see it.

I finally got around to seeing The Other Guys again and it still surprises me how much I enjoy it.

As much as Will Ferrell gets hate I find myself enjoying his movies.

The Machinist's plot was only so-so but Christian Bale did a great job in it - method acting at its finest
