I've been getting into British gangster films recently. Snatch & Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels are both brilliant.
I watched Ichi the Killer again the other day too. Last edited by anticipation; 06-03-2008 at 02:25 PM. |

Quite possibly one of the worst Horror films ever. It kick started a terrible teen Horror phase in American Cinema that dumbed down what horror was. Paradoxically it lead to the current fascination with so called 'Torture Porn' (Saw, Hostel Etc) which was a counter product, that is in proliferation. With a few exceptions this was all done before with 70's exploitation films.

Last House on The Left.
Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue ( actually a Zombie film but has hints). Fight For Your Life. Facination. Vampyres. Death Wish. I Spit On Your Grave. Blind Dead Collection. Cannibal Holocaust. Deep River Savages. Suspiria. Don't Torture A Duckling. Psychomania. Horror Hospital. Deep Red. New York Ripper. Zombi. The Beyond. ( one of the best horror films ever) Just a few and some are 80's and not exploitation but they are Horror and are a little less unknown!

Brighton Rock. Villian. Get Carter. The Long Good Friday. Mona Lisa. also seek out the less known: Shooters (directed by Dan Reed, no the inferior similar named out at the same time). Great cult American Gangster films: Ash Wednesday The Killers. Phoenix.
