This movie made me so moved and I even cried (I barely cry these days). I was so touched. I want to see that movie. I hope if I can keep my money together, I can get this movie on DVD. Lincoln is one the best films that I ever seen for a long time. I recommend everyone to see that movie.
It's a very good movie, I'll be purchasing it when it comes out on home media.

It's ....well, it's exactly what I expected Crazy, sometimes hilarious, generally insane. Just like the sequel. It's not as good, but it's no surprise as Terry Gilliam set the bar very high with the next one, but it's good enough.
As much as I love Bill Murray, Johnny Depp acted better as Hunter. Whether he was more true to the character I don't know.
i agree, the acting in Fear & loathing is just superb!

Not only johnny but benicio too
i would say the film is an acquired taste, it's one of those films you need to watch over again to truly get it

here's one i saw last night

Great film loved it

I highly recommend it 9/10

Ridley Scott's Robn Hood (US 2010), with Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. It contains some of the most confusing accents I've ever heard in a film. Added to which, the leisurely pace, grunge-y photography and strange storyline made me yearn for Errol Flynn, Richard Greene or Barry Ingham. The earthy style reminded me of Sean Connery's film, but at least that one had a sense of humour. Even Kevin Costner's film was closer to the legend.

The Skin I Live In

This movie is f*cking crazy. Seriously. It was well filmed. It was well written. The acting was great. I still don't know if I like it. A lot happened and there were great twists and turns but the whole thing was just so damn bizarre. I think I liked it but I just don't know. I'm going to with hold a rating but urge you guys to see it. It's a show.

The Grey

Honestly one of the best January releases of all time. Seriously. I really really liked it. It's NOT your typical action movie. The film deals with faith, survival, and surprisingly a lot of existentialism. The ending is also one of the more powerful action movie endings you'll see while also being ambiguous which naturally is going to piss people off. Overall it was a heartbreaking yet invigorating watch. It's on Instant Netflix and I also urge you guys to watch it.

Dredd (2012)
Checked this one out because I heard some good stuff about it on a movie podcast I listen to, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The story is pretty straightforward but I was surprised to find myself so engrossed by the movie. I think mostly it was the mood that won me over. There were some interesting characters, a lot of gorgeous visuals (seriously, violence and gore have seldom looked so beautiful) and just an overall interesting aesthetic that was somewhat reminiscent of Verhoeven in his heyday. I was honestly surprised by how good this movie was and happy that it was able to wash away the aftertaste of that horrible Stallone movie from the 90s.

The Man with the Iron Fists (2012)
Not as good as I was hoping it would be but still a fun movie. The sets and costumes were great and the fights were decent, but some of the performances were pretty bad and I definitely think RZA should have stayed behind the camera instead of making himself such a major character.

Drag Me to Hell (2009)
It sags a bit in the middle but the beginning and end were great and it was fun to see Raimi getting back to his roots. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy old school 70s/80s style horror.

Total Recall (US 1990). Arnold Schwarzenegger is required to act a bit too often, considering that he does not have the ability, while Sharon Stone is cast below Rachel Ticotin and just has to be a pretty blonde who is killed fairly promptly. Paul Verhoevan adds his usual advertising slogans and video images to the story of a construction worker who has recollections of being a secret agent on a populated Mars. He finds himself involved in a rebellion, on the red planet, against a group controlling an oxygen system, built by aliens, millions of years earlier.

I have not read the original story, nor have I seen the film in a while, so it struck me that it shows an early nineteen-nineties, which means almost an eighties, vision of the future, with big hair, padded shoulders and lurid coloured clothing, mainly via the women, but Arnie wears a pink shirt. The film is also surprisingly and unnecessarily violent. However, Paul Verhoevan (who has a degree in maths and physics) is skilled at showing corporate greed, combined with seediness, along with fast paced action, making this a better than average film of its type.

A Late Quartet

I really liked this one. The acting was perfect from everybody especially Hoffman and Walken. It was also a joy to listen too based on the fact that the whole movie centers on their quartet. It was heavy at times but nothing to extreme for a drama. Very good debut from the director.

it was interesting to say the least, it was funny but about as entertaining as a film about a killer tire could be

Written and directed by Philip Ridley (Scott Ridley's son), it's a seemingly typical tale of selling your soul to the devil but is helped massively by some great location shooting, cinematography and a great soundtrack co written and performed by the lead actor Jim Sturgess (I didn't have a clue that he is a singer/songwriter in his own right).

The acting from a couple of players is a little ropey and the film does suffer from a lack of pace in parts but the last third is superb and the film has enough originality there to warrant a second viewing.

All in all a great little gem and well worth a watch.

How frustrating! The first hour and 10 mins are actually very good and stick to the short story very well (even if it does look like Minority Report a lot) but the films final act is just another boring, implausible action fest that ruins the low key; almost Noir tinged aspects of the films opening two thirds.

Loved the nods to the original film and Colin Farrell underplays his character but that last 20 mins

Wrecked

Amazing. Wasn't really familiar with this movie at all so I don't know what I was expecting, but it turned out to be really good.
