Same here. I totally guessed that the cyborg with marital problems would arrive from the future on the deck of the Titanic, mate with a blue person, use an exoskeleton forklift to kill the queen and save humanity by threatening everyone with bad weather.

His storytelling sure isn't. He's done his fair share of pioneering in film making undoubtedly.

I'm semi-aware of my pretentious critique of film, and most media for that matter. That said, I'm not going to aid the director in suspension of disbelief if the movie is just sucky.
