The movie, with the brilliant actor Gregory Peck, is true to the book in that mind numbing aspect.

I like it for the characters. I know I said that, but I'll say it again. The whole movie's about letting go of prejudice, a lesson the admirable Atticus keeps in mind and teaches his cute kids. Plus, Peck's so good at his role that Atticus feels completely real. I often forget it's an actor.

Well **** my dumb ass, I was thinking of Catcher in the Rye, cause I'm a drunk moron. I've never even read To Kill a Mockingbird.

To Kill a Mockingbird is famous because it was the first old lady book where nothing that's actually deep gets discussed and the plot is easy to follow and some of the characters are different from one another (one of them might even be a static character if you're lucky). I'm sorry for anyone who has to read either. |
I only read a small part of it as a kid in school. It was uncensored.

While on the topic of books, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is the best movie based off of a book. Fight me.
