Speaking of him in gritty dramas, I have yet to watch Drive from beginning to end. I have only seen parts here and there. I need to sit down and give it my full attention.
I want to see Warcraft so badly today but I might end up just seeing Now You See Me 2

I think he's definitely capable of serving as a good comedic character, but I'll always love him as the quiet, ass kicking badass from NWR films. Despite it's reception, I actually like Only God Forgives a fair bit just because of how awesome Gosling is.

Contagion
Steven Soderbergh directing an all star cast (what's new) in a story that's truly terrifying and ultimately could end up all too real someday in the modern age.

Hail, Caesar!
Pretty good, but not great. A lot of terrific individual scenes, but it never coalesces into something coherent, nor does it seem like incoherence was the goal like Slacker or something. Terrifically funny, though, which redeemed it a little. I think it's worth a watch, especially if you like the Coens, but I can't give it more than a 6/10. |

There's only two types of people on this planet: people who enjoy Only God Forgives, and people who just fucking hate it. I'm the former kinda people.

I mean, it was good, but for the Coens it was clearly a bit lame (best directors of the last however many years).

OMFG I saw Warcraft like I wanted to and nerded the **** out.
All the references and easter eggs for people that played the games over the years. YES YES YES. I need to see it at least 3 more times before it leaves theaters. Now You See Me 2 wasn't available. I guess they fly in movies on a plane to the island and that film got damaged in flight. So it wasn't available this weekend but holy **** WARCRAFT! If you have ever spent any time in WoW or played the RTS games that came out before WoW you will be pleased. Unless you are one of them lore nerds that needs everything to be exactly correct. I feel they did a good job appeasing the lore nerds though but I could be wrong. I wasn't ever a lore nerd.

If it's true to the game,s that's always good. The problem is they also need to make it understandable for those who haven't played them, which I heard was one of the major flaws.

Personally I couldn't care less if a movie based on a game follows the game accurately, because I think that's the reason they end up being **** more often that not. A video game isn't a movie, and a movie isn't a video game, therefore what makes a game enjoyable isn't the same as what makes a movie enjoyable. I'm intruiged by Warcraft because I'm a fan of Duncan Jones work, but I'm not going into it with the highest of expectations by any means.
