Same here. When I first saw the movie I didn't even know there had been a TV show. Couldn't get tired last night so re-watched a couple of flicks.

The Perfect Host - Messed up black comedy with David Hyde Pierce from Frazer fame playing a really dark and screwed up character. Brilliant but completely off his rocker.

Equilibrium - Kind of cliched dystopian tale that has just enough originality to keep it interesting. Christian Bale is more of a bad ass in this than American Psycho and all of the Batman movies combined.

I saw the movie about a day after a friend showed me only a few episodes. Obviously that helped, but I was still largely introduced to the show through the movie... unless he showed me like five or six episodes, which would be about half the series, but I don't really remember. But at least I got to see it in theaters.

Same here - the plot was pretty clear without any prior knowledge. Having seen tons of sci-fi in general may have helped.

That's actually refreshing. I had multiple people that I recommended the movie to complain they found it confusing. They never saw the tv series. Good to know these people are morons :D

I literally returned to the forum because I just recently saw the Darjeeling Limited and suddenly Wes Anderson made complete sense, but I don't have anybody to talk to about his films.

Someone please indulge me. :(

I like The Life Aquatic but I'm really lazy and haven't watched any others yet :P

Life Aquatic and the Fantastic Mr. Fox are the only two I have not yet seen, so it seems we're at an impasse.

But seriously in the last three days I've seen the Royal Tenenbaums, Grand Budapest Hotel, and Darjeeling Limited (viewed twice, read the script once), and I need an outlet for my admiration.

I've only seen The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Royal Tenenbaums.
Both fun and entertaining.
Oh and Fantastic Mr. Fox, which might be an unusual one for him, which wasn't bad either.
