I'm blown away by SK cinema. Plots aside, they are simply doing some of the most artistic and technically brilliant stuff of anyone over the past 15 years. And the acting is incredible.

It's amazing to realize that the lead in The Man From Nowhere is the same dude from Mother. Too many western actors have only one or two notes. Won Bin can do anything and nail it.

I don't know what you like in musicals, but I'm not really a fan of them at all. I do love this one though. It's Andrew Lloyd-Webber, if that helps. Or hinders.
What album, as a matter of interest? I've given up trying to get people into Marillion, and have decided just to continue enjoying them as I have for over thirty years now. But I am curious.
This is very true. I used never listen to Beefheart. I kind of still won't, but I'm less "this guy is crap" now and more "meh, some of his less experimental albums are ok."
Frown, put the gun down. Let's talk about this....
Not really a fan of his neurotic style, but Bananas and Sleeper, as well as Take the Money and Run are great.

I'm probably more positive about the idea of musicals than most of the ones I've actually seen. The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, The Sound of Music... Those are the only good ones I can think of off the top of my head. Nine was allright, but weak musically, which is sort of a problem for a musical.

I hated Phantom of the Opera, so A.L. Webber might be a bad thing... but I'm not sure. He was only the producer on that movie, not the director, which is probably what matters more.

Brutal, brutal movie. Makes Hostel seem like Mary Poppins. If you dig torture porn, you owe it to yourself to check this out. I'd imagine the theatrical release had to be watered down so be sure to get the director's cut.
